This policy explains what cookies and similar storage priormile.com (operated by Infranova Limited, 3 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong) uses, what they are for, and how you control them. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What we use, in one paragraph
Very little. The site works without any cookie. We set a small number of essential cookies only when you do something that needs them (sign in, pay, or decide about consent). Our own analytics are first-party and cookie-free by default; with your consent we set one additional cookie containing a random anonymous id so we can understand how the site is used across visits, and we load Google Analytics 4, which sets its own cookies. Nothing from Google - no script, no request - reaches your browser before you accept. We load no advertising trackers at all, and Google's advertising features are switched off. The live chat ("Chat with us") is a tool we host ourselves, and nothing of it - no script, no request, no cookie - is loaded until you tap that button.

We also keep the access token for a report you just bought in your browser's local storage, so that the report page reopens after a refresh. That is not a cookie and is not sent to any third party.
3. First-party analytics without consent
Our analytics are built into this site: the browser sends events such as "page viewed", "VIN submitted", "checkout started" to our own server, where they are stored in our database. Before you consent, these events contain no cookie and no identifier - only the page path, your language, the referring page and a timestamp, and on the server we record a hashed, truncated form of your IP address for abuse protection. We consider this legitimate-interest processing that does not require consent because it cannot single you out across visits.
4. What consent changes
If you choose Accept, two things happen. We set vh_aid and attach it to the same first-party events, so that a visit today and a visit next week can be counted as one visitor and the purchase funnel can be measured correctly. And we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement only: page views, the same funnel steps, and the value of a completed order), which sets the _ga cookies above. If you choose Essential only, we set only vh_consent: no vh_aid, and no script or request from Google.
Google Analytics runs in Google's "consent mode": before you accept, every storage permission is denied and the library is not even downloaded. If you accept, we grant the analytics permission only - advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad user data stay denied, because we run no advertising.
If we ever add another third-party tool, it will be loaded only after consent - or, for a tool that only does something you explicitly asked for, only when you ask - it will be listed on this page with its name and purpose, and the policy version at the top of this page will change so that you can see what is new. That is exactly what happened in version 1.1, when Google Analytics was added and everyone was asked again, and in version 1.3, when the live chat was added: it runs only when you tap "Chat with us", so your earlier cookie choice is unchanged and not asked again.
5. How to change your mind
- Delete the
vh_consentcookie in your browser (or clear site data for priormile.com); the banner will appear again on your next visit. - Choose "Essential only" when the banner appears;
vh_aidis removed. - Most browsers let you block or delete cookies for a site; blocking the essential cookies may prevent sign-in and payment from working.
- The live-chat cookie exists only if you opened the chat; clearing site data for priormile.com removes it, and the chat loads again only if you tap the button again.
- Choosing "Essential only" also stops Google Analytics; Google additionally offers a browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
